September 29 2013 Fred Eaglesmith Travelling Steam Show
The Fred Eaglesmith Travelling Steam Show is one of the few remaining rock ‘n’ roll travelling shows left, playing  over 200 shows per year (all in small venues not stadiums), traveling nearly  2500 miles in old rickety buses which often break down.

Bill Poss (born in Illinois but now based in Texas/ né en Illinois, mais désormais basé en Texas) – guitar, vocals / guitare, chant

Tif Ginn (South Texas / Texas du Sud) – guitar, vocals, accordion / guitare, chant, accordéon

Fred Eaglesmith (Born / né 1957 in / en Brantford Ontario) – guitar, vocals and jokes / guitare, chant et blagues
Justine Fischer – double bass / contrebasse
Kori Heppner – drums / batterie
Matty Simpson – guitar, banjo / guitare, banjo

The show started with Bill Poss performing four ‘Kentucky Bluegrass’ songs  -- one happy, two sad and the last happy. He was followed by his wife Tif (Tiffany) Ginn who along with the band (apart from Fred) played a rollicking Texas blues.  She performed at least six. The first set lasted around 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute break.
The second part of the show was fronted by Fred Eaglesmith (an alternative country artist who has defied categorization) himself.  Interjected in between songs that talked mainly about rural life Fred told jokes that had the sold-out crowd roaring with laughter.
All in all a fantastically enjoyable evening of American roots, good-time rock ‘n’ roll and plenty of humor – harkening back to the days when the music was a revolutionary force and not ‘big-business’ as it is today.
