Freeze frame: the most absurd technique since the invention of the
moving image. Through an elaborate process of duplicating the same image over
and over again, it creates the illusion of stillness. In this stop-motion film,
identical figures try to perform the hopeless task of preserving blocks of ice,
like archivists. The repetitive movements reanimate the animals captured inside
the blocks.
Arrêt sur image: la technique la
plus absurde depuis l'invention de l'image en mouvement. Grâce à un processus
élaboré de duplication de la même image encore et encore, il crée l'illusion de
l'immobilité. Dans ce film en stop-motion, des personnages identiques tentent
d'accomplir la tâche désespérée de préserver les blocs de glace, comme des
archivistes. Les mouvements répétitifs réaniment les animaux capturés à l'intérieur
des blocs.

Imbued Life is a film
about a young woman's connection with the life force of nature. She uses her
talent for taxidermy to "return" the animals to their natural
habitat. However, the true search for the answers begins when she starts
finding a roll of undeveloped film in each of the animals she treats. Her
obsession drives her to seek the explanation of the connection she feels,
haunting her dreams, as well as her waking moments.
Imbued Life est un film sur le lien d'une jeune
femme avec la force vitale de la nature. Elle utilise son talent de taxidermie
pour «ramener» les animaux dans leur habitat naturel. Cependant, la véritable
recherche des réponses commence lorsqu'elle commence à trouver un rouleau de film
