“Romeo and Juliet in Yiddish” comedy, United States 2010, Eve Annenburg
An ER nurse, in order to make much needed money, is commissioned to put on a modern day Yiddish version of Shakespeare’s classic.

Une  infirmière ER, afin de gagner de l'argent nécessaire, est chargée de monte une version de Yiddish moderne de ce classique de Shakespeare.

“Soul to Soul” presented by The National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbienne, United States
Two cultures, Yiddish and African American, meet in this celebration created by Artistic Director and pianist Zalmen Mlotek with special guests Cantor Magda Fishman (also played trumpet), Elmore James (Broadway and opera stage veteran) and Tony Perry (N.Y. singer actor) singing a wide selection of songs in Yiddish.

 «Soul to Soul » présenté par le Théâtre National de Yiddish – Folksbienne, États-Unis
Deux cultures, Yiddish et Afro-Américaine, se réunissent à cette célébration créée par le directeur artistique et le pianiste Zalmen Mlotek avec des invités spéciaux Cantor Magda Fishman (également elle joué le trompette), Elmore James (vétéran  de Broadway et de l’opéra) et Tony Perry (acteur chanteur de N.Y.) chantant une vaste sélection de chansons en Yiddish.

June 14th / 14 Juin

8pm (theatre)
“The Wise Men of Chelm” written by Moshe Gershensohn / directed by Dan Tudor / presented by The State Jewish Theatre of Bucharest, Romania,
A farce that gives tribute to the endurance of East European folklore.
The counsel of ‘wise men’ ponder and scheme to try and prevent the town’s fool from having children. Begs the question who is really the ‘wise’ and who is the ‘fool.’

«Les Sages de Chelm » écrit par Moshe Gershensohn, réalisé par Dan Tudor / présenté par Théâtre de l'État Juif a Bucarest, Roumanie,
 Une farce qui donne, hommage à l'endurance du folklore des pays d’Europe de l’Est.
Le conseil des «sages» réfléchir et conspire de prévenir le fou de la ville d'avoir des enfants. Pose la question qui est vraiment le «sage» et qui est le «fou.»

We follow as Israeli dramaturge David Maayan prepares his Purimspil

“The Lottery” written by Sholem Aleichem, directed by Charlotte Messer, presented by Troïm-Teater of the Paris Yiddish Center Medem Library
Delightful comedy answering the question: Does winning the grand prize in the lottery really change you? A humble tailor, heavily in debt wins the lottery going from abject poverty to wealth and back down again.

« La Loterie » écrit par Sholem Aleichem, réalisé par Charlotte Messer, présenté par Troïm-Teater Théâtre Yiddish de Paris Bibliothèque Medem
Comédie délicieux qui répond à la question : Gagner le grand prix de la loterie est que ca nous change vraiment? Un tailleur humble, lourdement en dette, gagne la loterie sortant de misère, devient riche et retourne.
