Ce drame captivant explore les injustices sociales subies par les immigrés clandestins et la complicité de la police et de l'État en contribuant à leur marginalisation.
Tania (interprété avec dextérité par Anne Coesens) et son fils, Ivan émigrent de la Russie à Belgique en 2000. Sa demande de statut d'immigrant reçu a été refusée, donc pour pendant huit ans elle vit clandestinement en essayant d'éviter d'être pris sous le radar des autorités. Encore Tania et Ivan ont pu s’intégrer dans la société Belge. Elle a un emploi et il peu aller à l'école.
En 2008, après ramasser Ivan afin de célébrer son treizième anniversaire, la police l’arrête et demande de voir ses papiers. Elle sort une fausse carte d’identité fournie par son propriétaire, M. Nowak. Elle est emmenée au poste de police pour être interrogé. Elle est ensuite arrêtée et envoyée à un centre de détention. Ivan s'échappe et est recueilli par le meilleur ami de Tania, Zina, qui est de la Biélorussie.
Elle découvre en parlent avec  l'un de ses codétenus que si, après cinq mois, les autorités sont incapables de vous identifier qu'ils doivent vous laisser aller. Ainsi, malgré la pression exercée sur elle pour révéler son identité, Tania refuse fermement à donner son nom, son pays d'origine et si elle a un enfant. Peut-elle perdurer jusqu'à ce que les cinq mois soient effectués et donc reprendre sa vie comme avant ou elle cédera à la pression?
La conclusion du film a été un peu précipitée et il y avait quelques défauts dans le flot de l'histoire. Certains des personnages auraient pu utiliser un peu plus de piquant.

Tania (deftly interpreted by Anne Coesens) and her son Ivan emigrate from Russia to Belgium in 2000. Her request for ‘landed immigrant status’ was refused, so for eight years she lives clandestinely in trying to avoid being caught under the radar of the authorities. Yet Tania and Ivan have been able to integrate into Belgian society. She has a job and he is able to go to school.
In 2008, after picking up Ivan in order to celebrate his 13^th birthday, the police stop her and ask for her papers. She pulls out a falsified ID provided by her landlord, Mr Nowak. She is taken to the police station for questioning. She is subsequently arrested and sent to a detention center. Ivan escapes and is taken in by Tania’s best friend Zina who is from Belorussia.
She finds out from one of her fellow detainees that if after five months, the authorities are unable to identify you that they must let you go. So despite the pressure placed upon her to reveal her identity, Tania steadfastly refuses to give out her name, country of origin and whether or not she has a child.
Can she endure until the five months are done and thus resume her life as before or will she give in to the pressure?
The conclusion of the film was a bit rushed and there were some flaws in the story flow. Some of the characters could have used a bit more pungency.
