Minor Empire was formed in 2010 by Ozan Boz (guitarist, composer and producer) and Ozgu Ozman (vocalist). Minor Empire fuses traditional Turkish music with progressive contemporary sounds.

Minor Empire a été formé en 2010 par Ozan Boz (guitariste, compositeur et producteur) et Ozgu Ozman (chanteur). Minor Empire fusionne la musique turque traditionnelle avec des sons progressifs contemporains.

For this concert, they were accompanied by three versatile musicians – a drummer and a bassist, plus Tamer Pınarbaşı on the kanun (a Turkish stringed instrument).  The setlist included a well-balanced mix of upbeat songs, including a blues number sung in Turk, with lilting ballads. Thoroughly enjoyable; definitely my “discovery of the year.”

 

Pour ce concert, ils étaient accompagnés de trois musiciens polyvalents - un batteur et un bassiste, ainsi que Tamer Pınarbaşı sur le kanun (un instrument à cordes Turc). La setlist comprenait un mélange bien équilibré de chansons entraînantes, dont un numéro de blues chanté en turc et des ballades cadencé. Vraiment agréable; définitivement ma « découverte de l'année ».
