Plan Large 2 Québec Cinéma in Photo / Le Cinéma Québécois en Photo:

From December 20 2011 till March 13 2012 will be held at Place Pasteur on St-Denis between   Ste-Catherine and de Maisonneuve in Montreal.
Des le 20 Décembre 2011 jusqu'au 13 Mars 2012 se tiendra à Place Pasteur sur St-Denis entre Ste-Catherine et de Maisonneuve à Montréal.
The arrival of winter has become synonymous with The Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois (RVCQ).
Six photographers :Olivier Blouin, Maude Chauvin, Maxyme G. Delisle, Dominique Lafond, Jocelyn Michel et Guillaume Simoneau present their poetic and singular visions of cinematic highlights of last year’s crop of Quebec cinema. The 12 films are: Café de Flore (Jean-Marc Vallée), Coteau Rouge (André Forcier), En Terrains Connus (Stéphane Lafleur), Gerry (Alain Desrochers),  Jo Pour Jonathan (Maxime Giroux), Le Vendeur (Sébastien Pilote), Marécages (Guy Édoin), Monsieur Lazhar (Philippe Falardeau), Nuit #1 (Anne Émond), Pour l’Amour de Dieu (Micheline Lanctôt), Starbuck (Ken Scott), Une Vie Qui Commence (Michel Monty).
Last year’s edition of Plan Large will be re-exhibited from mid-January to mid-February in the exhibition hall of Place-des-Arts.
The 30^th Edition of RVCQ will take place February 15^th till 26^th 2012.

L'arrivée de l'hiver est devenue synonyme avec les Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois (RVCQ).

Six photographes : Olivier Blouin, Maude Chauvin, Maxyme G. Delisle, Dominique Lafond, Jocelyn Michel et Guillaume Simoneau présenter leurs visions poétiques et singuliers des faits marquants cinématographiques de la récolte de l'année dernière du cinéma Québécois. Le première édition de Plan Large reprendra vie entre mi-janvier à mi-février dans l'exhibition hall de la Place-des-Arts.
La 30e édition des RVCQ aura lieu des le 15 jusqu’au 26 Février 2012

Fantasia International Film Festival (widely acclaimed as the world’s largest and most influential genre film festivals) announces that it will embark upon an innovative new venture which will inaugurated during its 16^th edition to be held July 19^th to August 7^th 2012 specifically July 26^th to 29^th.

Called “Frontiers, the Fantasia International Co-Production Market”, Fantasia will promote twelve outstanding projects from directors from Europe (Scandinavia), North America (Canada and United States) and Australia with the objective of creating a suitable environment to allow these projects to see the light of day. Over the course of the four days there will be meetings and a series of conferences organized to assemble the project’s participants. Current industry topics will be addressed and co-production relationships will be fostered.

Fantasia International Film Festival (largement acclamée comme le  festival  de films de genre le plus grand et le plus influent du monde) annonce qu'il sera embarquer pour une nouvelle entreprise innovatrice qui sera inaugurée au cours de sa 16e édition qui se tiendra du 19 Juillet au 7 Août 2012 spécifiquement du 26 au 29 Juillet.  Appelée «Frontières, le marché de coproduction internationale de Fantasia», Fantasia fera la promotion de douze projets exceptionnels de directeurs d'Europe (Scandinavie), Amérique du Nord (Canada et États-Unis) et en Australie avec l'objectif de créer un environnement adapté pour permettre à ces projets afin de voir la lumière du jour. Au cours des quatre jours il y aura des réunions et une série de conférences organisées à assembler les participants du projet. Seront abordés des sujets actuels de l'industrie et les relations de coproduction seront galvanisées.

The deadlines for applicants are as follows: Early Bird – January 9^th 2012, Late – March 5^th 2012 and selected projects announced in early May 2012.
Les dates limites pour les demandeurs sont les suivants : Première Date – 9 Janvier 2012, Tardive – 5 Mars 2012 et les projets sélectionnés seront annoncés au début du mois de Mai 2012.

September 15^th, 2011: At a press conference held yesterday afternoon, President, General Manager and Artistic Director of Cirque Éloize announced the return of its World acclaimed show “Rain – Comme une Pluie dans les Yeux.” It will be presented at the Monument National beginning December 6^th.

Cinéma Parallèle Acquires Cinéma Excentris (April 08^th 2011)

The three halls of Cinéma Excentris will once again be a center for alternative and independent cinema. Thanks to a financial agreement announced today with Ministry of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women, SODEC, City of Montreal and the Daniel Langlois Foundation, Cinéma Parallèle will reopen the Fellini and Cassavetes halls of the Excentris complex in the heart of Boulevard St Laurent A.K.A “The Main.”  The rendezvous for this event is the fall of 2011.

Phase II of the project is the addition of two halls. Parallèle/Excentris is destined to be a brilliant lighthouse in showcasing Montreal’s passion for cinema.

Cinéma Parallèle acquiert Cinéma Excentris (08 Avril 2011)

 Les trois salles de Cinéma Excentris seront de nouveau un centre pour le cinéma alternatif et indépendant. Grâce à une entente financière, annoncé aujourd'hui,  avec le ministère de la Culture, Communications et de la condition féminine, SODEC, ville de Montréal et la Fondation Daniel Langlois, Cinéma Parallèle va rouvrir les salles Fellini et Cassavetes de l'Excentris complexe au cœur du Boulevard St Laurent A.K.A « La Main ».  Le rendez-vous pour cet événement est l'automne 2011.
