I Shot My Love by / par Tomer Heymann

Personal portrait of director’s developing relationship with the love of his life, German dancer Andreas Merk (http://www.andreasmerk.com/en/Default.aspx?iid=3&cid=0). However his outspoken and fiercely Israeli mother, Noa, was the real anchor for this documentary.
Tomer’s grandfather escaped Nazi Germany into Palestine. Seventy years later, the director returns to Germany to present his film “Paper Dolls” (2006 documentary about Filipino transgender migrant workers who performed as drag queens at night).
While in Berlin, he meets Andreas. Though the initial affair lasted only 48 hours, it sowed the seed that has since developed into a life-changing relationship between the two men.
Among his siblings, four brothers, only Tomer lives with his mother.  Andreas decides to come to Tel Aviv to be with him. Both men and Noa need to come to grips with the social and cultural implications of this Germanic and Israeli relationship.
