Cinemania 17 edition / édition 2011



From November 3rd till 13th / du 3 au 13 Novembre

This year’s edition will feature 32 premieres presented at Imperial Cinema from November 4th, beginning between 9 and 9:30am with a final screening at around 9pm. Each film will screen twice for a total of 67 screenings at the Imperial Cinema.  

Klapisch under the Klieg Lights: a retrospective of three films by director Cédric Klapisch (Good Old Daze – 1995 – Friday November 4th at 6:30pm, Family Resemblances – 1996 – Saturday November 5th at 6:15pm and Not For or Against – 2002 – Sunday November 6th at 6:30) presented in the Claude Jutra of the Cinémathèque Quebecoise. As well the director will giving a master class and presenting his latest film “My Piece of the Pie” on Sunday November 6th at 3:30pm. 
Maïwenn Le Besco will also be in town to present her latest film “Polisse” (opening film) and on Saturday November 5th at 3:15 we will have an opportunity to meet this universal Algerian / French actress and director. Finally on November 12th at 3:30pm there will be a ‘political round table’ with actor Michel Blanc, director Pierre Schoeller and Journalist Helen Faradji will be partaking in the discussion. Dennis Trudeau will be the host.

L’édition de cette année comprendra 32 films en premières présentées au cinéma Impérial du 4 Novembre, avec la première projection entre 9 et 09:30, avec la dernière projection à l’entour de 21h. Chaque film sera projeté deux fois pour un total de 67 projections au cinéma impérial. 
 Le Péril Klapisch: une rétrospective de trois films par le réalisateur Cédric Klapisch (Le Péril Jeune – 1995 – le Vendredi 4 Novembre à 18:30, Un Air De Famille – 1996 – Samedi 5 Novembre à 18:15 et Ni Pour Ni Contre – 2002 – dimanche 6 novembre à 06:30) présentés dans la Salle Claude Jutra a la Cinémathèque Québécoise. Ainsi, le réalisateur donnerai une classe de maître et pour présenter son dernier film «Ma Part du Gâteux» le Dimanche 6 Novembre à 15:30. 

Maïwenn Le Besco sera également en ville pour présenter son dernier film "Polisse" (film d'ouverture) et le Samedi 5 Novembre à 03:15, nous aurons l'occasion de rencontrer cette actrice et réalisateur universelle Franco-Algérienne. Enfin le 12 Novembre, à 15:30 qu'il y aura une 'table ronde politique' avec le comédien Michel Blanc, le réalisateur Pierre Schoeller et journaliste Helen Faradji vont être participant au débat et animer par Dennis Trudeau.
